I'm still struggling on a fair rating version 4 because of the problems that have cropped up with Linux and Guest Additions.
Guest Additions worked fine in many versions of VirtualBox 3.x, but no longer work properly in version 4, which means I'm stuck at between 800x600 and 1024x768 resolution for many distributions, and that is pretty annoying.
With v3.x and Suse 11.x and the latest Mandriva, I can resize the screen and get 1280x960, 1400x1050 and 1600x1200, depending on my preferences and the LCD I'm using, and that makes for a much more usable and productive environment.
Until v4.x provides something even close to as functional, I just don't see the benefit of even using it, even though it still functions ok in many other areas.
